About the Founder
Sheikha Al-Otaibi
When Sheikha Al-Otaibi was a sophomore and her co-founder Sebastian Paredes, was a senior at Babson College, they attended many networking events and came across a CTO who was in-need of a Software Developer. As Sebastian is originally from Ecuador and moved to NYC, he still had many family members in Ecuador, and one cousin was a Senior Level Front-End Developer whom he connected to this CTO. From that moment, Interlix Staffing was born and Al-Otaibi joined his side as Head of Sales and continued to grow the company ever since. A challenge that they faced was finding the right long term clients. Al-Otaibi is perfect for this project as she is now going into her senior year at Babson College and balancing running her own staffing and recruitment company and her last year of school.

What is the origin story of Interlix Staffing?
Sheikha Al-Otaibi: "The origin story of Interlix Staffing was two and half years ago, of how I closed my biggest client, who now is one of my mentors. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: the strongest way to sell is through building genuine relationships.
When I initially met this individual, I approached the interaction with a desire to learn from him. He owned a staffing company in the construction industry, and I saw an opportunity to gain insights from his expertise. Throughout our conversations, I made sure to be attentive and took action on every piece of feedback he provided.
Interestingly, I never went into those interactions with the intention of selling my services. Instead, I focused on nurturing a sincere connection and demonstrating my commitment to excellence in my field. Even though I knew he wasn't initially interested in what I had to offer, he saw firsthand my dedication to refining my recruitment process and acquiring top talent.
Fast forward four months later, I received an unexpected call from him, presenting an opportunity for the biggest deal for Interlix Staffing. He was looking for senior software developers to join him in one of his new immense projects.
This was a testament to the power of relationship-building and the impact of consistently delivering value without expecting immediate returns.
To this day, he remains a satisfied client, continuing to work with the software developers I placed into his team.
This experience reaffirmed my belief in the significance of authentic connections in the world of sales."

Sheikha Al-Otaibi: My success as an entrepreneur stems from consistent daily habits, even during periods without immediate results, fostering continuous growth. Additionally, I prioritize attending at least one networking event weekly to expand my entrepreneurial connections.
